Meet the Building Specifics Team
Started and owned by builder Paul Stops the company is now run by the second generation with his son Matthew taking on the day to day operations. Paul started Building Specifics in 1999 after working with numerous GIB stoppers on jobs and he kept hearing one thing – we really wish we could work with someone who specialised in GIB supply and installation. Paul realised that GIB fixing is a specialised trade and noticed that the plasterboard work he was seeing on sites was not always up to scratch. Paul decided to specialise in GIB supply and installation, including acoustic plasterboard and waterproof plasterboard, offering a niche service that was needed in the market. Paul has now been putting up GIB for nearly 50 years and has passed many of his skills onto Matthew who is carrying on the company’s reputation for delivering a fast, efficient, high quality service. Building Specifics employs a highly skilled team all trained by Paul. The team also regularly attend GIB training sessions and opportunities to learn about the latest products and techniques.
